Bursaries
A limited number of bursaries will be available for graduate students, under-graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Priority will be given to eligible individuals that can demonstrate particular need. Only attendees that have submitted an abstract that has been accepted for oral or poster presentation will be eligible.

"FEMS provides upon application Meeting Attendance Grants to young scientists wishing to attend microbiology meetings. Please refer to the FEMS website for regulations and forms. The deadline for applications is 1st April 2010."
For members of Portuguese Society of Microbiology:
A Sociedade Portuguesa de Microbiologia apoia congressos ou reuniões científicas específicas através da atribuição de subsídios a jovens investigadores que sejam sócios e que apresentem comunicação. A Sociedade Portuguesa de Microbiologia também considera candidaturas de sócios a subsídios para participação activa de jovens investigadores em congressos internacionais na área da Microbiologia.
As candidaturas a subsídios devem ser enviadas para o Secretariado e incluir: CV, resumo do trabalho a apresentar, comunicação da sua aceitação e uma carta de referência. As candidaturas serão avaliadas pela Direcçção da Sociedade e, se aprovadas, o subsídio só será concedido se o candidato demonstrar que não tem outros apoios.
