A one-day workshop on "Predictive modelling for Improved Control of Listeria monocytogenes in Food Chains" will be organized on 5 May 2010 in Porto, Portugal. This workshop is organized in relation to ISOPOL XVII. Key aspects of the workshop include:

This workshop is organized in collaboration between the Seafood & Predictive Microbiology research group at the Technical University of Denmark; the Food Safety Centre at the University of Tasmania, Australia; Escola Superior de Biotecnologia, Porto, Portugal and ISOPOL XVII.

A parallel workshop entitled "Networking for Listeria monocytogenes surveillance" is scheduled on Thursday, May 6th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

The purpose of this workshop is to gather people involved in the monitoring of L. monocytogenes at national or international level, to share ideas and views for the future in terms of surveillance and data exchange.  The workshop program will offer presentations in two parts and a round table:
